TOPIC: STANDING FAST IN THE LORD TEXT: 1THESS.3:1-13 MEMORY VERSE “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the word of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”. (1Cor. 15:58) CENTRAL TRUTH: Growing in faith and love helps keep us steadfast in the Lord.   INTRODUCTION What did Paul mean by “standing fast in the faith” or “standing fast in the Lord”? For one thing he was telling the Thessalonians to make the best of any situation in which they found themselves and seek to glorify God. We can find this principle illustrated in nature. The beauty lotus bloom in some of the most dismal swamps. In the midst of a crowded metropolis, with the smoke of industries hanging in the air and with thousands of busy feet steeping, striding, and shuffling along the sidewalks, you may look down in wonder and see tiny flowers protruding from cracks in the concrete.         Witness the trees along our coastline

TOPIC: UNSHAKEN CONFIDENCE IN GOD  TEXT : Romans 8:31-35 MEMORY VERSE : “Nay in all things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us” CENTRAL TRUTH : Our eyes must be fixed on him who is able to keep us safe and secured. Introduction             Our lessen this week, climax the message of Apostle so far. The words are weighty. The import is impressive. The verses must be the commitment, resolution and testimony of every believer. Point 1 the source of the saints’ confidence: Rom. 8:32-34; Isaiah 12:2-3; Ps. 112:7,8; Heb. 13:6; Ps. 84:11             “And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?” (1 Peter 3:13). This question dwells on the commitment of God to keep the saints whose character, conduct and language is Christ-like. If we world depend on the Lord and walk according to the way of the Lord, non can harm us (Isaiah 50:7-9). The source of the saints’ confidence is the Lord who is ever near to help
