TOPIC: TRUE AND COUNTERFEIT WISDOM. TEXT: James 3: 13 18. INTRODUCTION The tongue can reveal genuine faith. It can give a testimony for God. It can speak wisdom. We must never confuse worldly wisdom with biblical wisdom. Worldly wisdom often leads people away from God. inflating their pride and ego. It raises false standard and pollutes the morality of society. True wisdom has God as its source. We will never attain a wisdom that will truly make a difference unless we start with God. This is when one is able to make sound judgement. Guided by caution and discretion in words and actions. he avoids many traps and embarrassing situations. Such a person can be said to be prudent (Pro 8:11 -13). the opposite of prudence is rashness which results in reckless conduct and words often resulting in serious trouble. INTRODUCTION God has called Christian leaders to help guide and direct other believers around them and to help prepare other Christians to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Leaders must take their responsibilities seriously and look to God for the wisdom they need to fulfill their tasks. Because of their role in helping other Christians in the work of the ministry, leaders are a target for Satan to tempt them away from biblical truth and morals. Leaders must therefore remain vigilant and trust God for victory over every temptation. TOPIC: GROWING IN GRACE TEXT: 2 PETER 3:18 INTRODUCTION Growth in grace is the heart desire of every Christian. For every living organism, growth is very necessary. Biological scientists tell us that growth is one of the characteristics of living things. That means that any organism that does not grow is dead and not living. in the same vein, we are to grow in our new experience of salvation, because Christianity is a living experience. 1peter2:2; Hebrew 5:13; 12:5; 1John 2:12-14. The topic of our study presents us with two key words: “Growth and Grace". Therefore, to understand it properly we will consider the following: 1.  THE MEANING OF GROWTH -1 Samuel2z26; Lk.2:40,52; 1Jn. 2:12-14; 1Cor.13:11; Eph.4:15. To grow means to develop, to improve, to progress, or to increase in size, height or length. To understand what is meant by “growing in grace”, the Bible likens the Christian life to the growth of two living organism a tree and a human being (Ps.92:12
