TEXT: Heb 9:22, John 1:29, Matt 26:28, Exo 12:23 AIMS: At the end of the lesson, students should be able to; Identifies that Jesus blood was shed to them Examine their lives if they are saved Appreciate Jesus for such wonderful grace Jesus Christ shed his blood for you. The blood he shed is powerful. It is related to sacrifice, substitution, salvation, sanctification, security and sovereignty. In most hospital there is a signs that says “giving blood saves lives” Jesus blood is more than the blood given in the Hospital by donors; it is powerful, it cannot be donated to anyone like that. If you have not yet confessed your sins to the one and only holy God and asked for forgiveness on the basis of Jesus’ bloodshed on the cross for you; may i urge you to do so today! Christ alone has the power to use his blood to save you; his blood is more powerful than the blood that runs in our veins. MEMORY VERSE: Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us - 1 Corinthians 5:7 CENTRAL TRUTH: Jesus Christ is the perfect sacrifice for our sins. INTRODUCTION From the very beginning of creation, humanity has needed a redeemer. God promised Adam and Eve He would send a redeemer in the form of the seed of woman (Gen 3. 5). The New Testament boldly proclaims that Christ is the Redeemer. But the Old Testament also presents other pictures describing this Redeemer. The account of Israel's deliverance from Egypt and their celebration of the Passover is an Old Testament picture Christ as our Passover Lamb. Through the shedding of His blood Christ purchased our redemption.
