MEMORY VERSE: Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us - 1 Corinthians 5:7 CENTRAL TRUTH: Jesus Christ is the perfect sacrifice for our sins. INTRODUCTION From the very beginning of creation, humanity has needed a redeemer. God promised Adam and Eve He would send a redeemer in the form of the seed of woman (Gen 3. 5). The New Testament boldly proclaims that Christ is the Redeemer. But the Old Testament also presents other pictures describing this Redeemer. The account of Israel's deliverance from Egypt and their celebration of the Passover is an Old Testament picture Christ as our Passover Lamb. Through the shedding of His blood Christ purchased our redemption.
