THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT

TOPIC: THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT 
TEXT: REVELATION 20:11-15

MEMORY VERSE: “For god shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

CENTRAL TRUTH: Though hand joins in hand, the wicked will not go unpunished.  

INTRODUCTION
    The great white throne judgment is one of the judgment scenes in history and it is designed by God to bring an end to all evils and evil dowers ever in existence, here all sinners who ever lived and died in ungodliness will be resurrected at the second resurrection after the battle of Gog and Magog at the close of the millennium. They will stand before the great judge who sits upon the Great White Throne to give account of their deeds.
    Evil works, every one of it, shall be brought into judgment with every secret thing – no hiding place! Each person “small and great”, will be judged according to his works. God will judge by Jesus Christ. The Father will decree, the son will execute (Act. 10:42; 2Tim. 4:8; Rev.19”16). all who rejected the Lordship of Jesus will then face Him as judge. All who claim one authority or another, denying follower-ship with Christ the king will have no option but stand before the Christ as judge “Because God hath appointed a day, in which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man (Jesus) whom he hath ordained’ (Acts 17:31).

NATURE OF THE JUDGMENT
Matt.7:2,21; Acts 17:31; Rom. 2:12-16; Heb.9:27
    It will not be a spiritual, invisible, endless process but a definite, literal, visible, and personal trial in God’s court similar to a trial on earth. Only that, there will be no advocate for anyone. The one and only advocate we have today will become a Judge.

PURPOSE OF THE JUDGMENT
    “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven”. The Great White Throne judgment has been Designed for the following reasons:
  1. To give every man a fair judgment before his eternal punishment (Acts 12:31; Ps. 9:8).
  2. To judge the secrets of men (Rom. 2:16)
  3. To judge every idle words (Matt. 12:36)
  4. To judge all the works, thoughts, actions and sins of men (1Tim.5:24; 1Pet.1:17; Rev.20:12-13; 22:12; Rom.2:5-6; 12-16)
  5. To mete out degrees of punishment according to deeds (Mk.6:11; Lk.11:31,32).




POINT 3

THE END OF THE WICKED
Rev. 20:14,15; 20:10; Prov.7:24-27; Isa.5:14-16; Matt.25:41,46; Rev. 14:10,11; Isa.66:22-24.
    Hell, which is the abode of souls of all dead sinners up to the time of the Great White Throne Judgment, will be emptied of all that are therein and hell itself shall be cast into “the lake of fire’. There shall be no more deaths. Death itself shall be cast into “the lake of fire”. All those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will be cast Spirit, soul and body into the lake of fire. Is your name written in the Book of Life? If not, do everything possible to have your name written in the Book of Life – Repent and forsake every known sin and accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, now that there is time. Tomorrow may not be yours.
    The lake of fire is the final, eternal home of the devil, his angels, the beast, the false prophet, and all who died unsaved(rev.21:18). God help you take right decision today!
